My wife, Gayle, and I want to thank you for your support in this year's election for the 5th Congressional District of Michigan. I very much appreciate the confidence the people of Michigan have placed in me, and I will work every day to earn your continued support and confidence.
Our country faces many serious challenges, both at home and aboard. The leaders of our nation will need the unified support of the American people as we seek to confront those challenges.
During the last campaign, I enjoyed the opportunity to meet and speak with thousands of residents of the 5th Congressional District. You may be assured that I will take your concerns to the halls of Congress in our efforts to make this country a better, safer place in which to live and work.
